The Tokyo James S/S 26 Backstage project offers a raw, intimate perspective on the brand's latest collection. Captured by photographers Soraya and Rodrigo, the series moves between the controlled intensity of runway preparations and the nuanced focus of portraiture. Working with casting director Hatem Ben Hassine, the project highlights avant-garde silhouettes, emphasizing intricate textures and sculptural headwear. The visuals employ a mix of low-key lighting to lean into moody, atmospheric tones, as well as soft natural light that brings out the tactile qualities of the tailoring and layered fringe details. Throughout the imagery, a dynamic use of motion blur and long exposure techniques underscores the kinetic energy of the presentation. The series features models including Claudia Tom, Duot Ajang, Emerson Pereira, Gia Bab, Moussa Ndiaye, Nalla Ndiaye, Roven Nimrod, and Tobi Momoh.
