Captured during the Tokyo James S/S 26 presentation, this backstage editorial series documents the intricate textures and sculptural silhouettes of the latest collection. Photographed by Soraya and Rodrigo, the imagery alternates between dynamic, motion-blurred runway sequences in low-key lighting and static, portrait-focused captures set against distressed concrete backdrops. With casting directed by Hatem Ben Hassine, the project highlights avant-garde tailoring and bold accessorizing, featuring oversized structural headpieces, tinted eyewear, and woven textiles. The documentary-style approach emphasises the raw, atmospheric energy of pre-show fittings, using a mix of natural light and direct flash to articulate the depth and craftsmanship of the garments.
