Still Motion for Tidal Magazine is a masterclass in fashion editorial portraiture that interrogates the tension between structural rigidity and ethereal fluidity. Captured through the lens of photographer Virginia Kluiters, the series leans into a high-contrast, avant-garde aesthetic by isolating subjects against an uncompromising pitch-black background. By utilizing precise studio strobe techniques alongside moments of cinematic motion-blur, the project explores the interplay between tactile textures and industrial accents. The styling functions as a central narrative device, where voluminous tulle silhouettes and intricate lace detailing are sharpened by cold, reflective metallic collars and sculptural accessories.
