The Royal Institute of Philosophy
Brand Identity

Aug 2025
The Royal Institute of Philosophy brand identity project centers on a minimalist aesthetic that bridges academic heritage with contemporary editorial design. Developed through a collaboration involving Only for graphic design and illustrator Beth Walrond, the visual system utilizes a stark monochrome palette and bold serif typography to establish an institutional presence. The identity spans multiple touchpoints, including stationery, magazine layouts, and digital UI elements. A central floral logo, constructed from stylized question-mark petals, serves as the primary emblem, appearing in static vector applications and motion graphics. The design language emphasizes intellectual inquiry through clean layouts and experimental typography, featured across print posters, outdoor digital displays, and canvas goods.
