Harper's Bazaar U.S. The Girlfriend Experience 2026

About

The Girlfriend Experience is a fashion editorial series for Harper's Bazaar U.S. captured by photographer Juliette Abitbol. The project presents a collection of images that blend a polished lifestyle aesthetic with neoclassical architectural settings, utilising natural light and warm tones to highlight rich textures and jewel-toned apparel. Fashion styling by Léopold Duchemin anchors the editorial, incorporating vibrant red and pink palettes against lush, green outdoor environments. The series features models Gertrud Rose and Merlijne Schorren in a variety of domestic and outdoor compositions, ranging from high-angle bedroom scenes to poses on stone balustrades. The production includes set design by Jeanne Briand, hair styling by Akemi Kishida, and makeup by Lauren Bos. Casting for the editorial was directed by Anita Bitton, with additional detail provided by manicurist Anatole Rainey.
