In the vibrant series titled SPLASH !, photographer Jeremie Monnier captures the intersection of structural tailoring and graphic composition, resulting in an arresting fashion editorial that pushes the boundaries of contemporary portraiture. Working alongside fashion editor and stylist Jorge Garcia Valero, the project transforms everyday urban environments and minimalist studio settings into stages for bold, high-contrast storytelling. The imagery leans into a cinematic aesthetic, utilizing sharp, directional light and chiaroscuro techniques to emphasize the silhouettes of avant-garde garments. Whether set against the raw texture of a weathered concrete wall or the stark, clean lines of a cinder block backdrop, each frame feels deliberate and rhythmic. Models Abuk Manyang Adeer and Pooja Mor inhabit these spaces with dynamic, expressive energy, perfectly complemented by the precision of hair stylist Rudy Martins. The styling is unapologetically eclectic, juxtaposing oversized shoulders, vibrant color-blocking, and unexpected combinations like neon leggings paired with classic slingback heels.
