COLORS

Dec 2025
The COLORS project serves as a masterclass in editorial portrait photography, stripping away the superfluous to celebrate the intersection of form, fabric, and color. By stripping the environment down to a seamless, neutral backdrop, photographer Jeremie Monnier allows the high-fashion narrative to take center stage. The series relies on studio strobe lighting to carve out the silhouette of the subject, played with composed intensity by Dylan Changarnier. Through the lens, the work leans into a deliberate, polished aesthetic, where the structural integrity of the garments—ranging from electric blue leather to vibrant rust-toned wool—is emphasized against the precision of a high-key or chiaroscuro lighting setup. The styling, curated by Jorge Garcia Valero, pushes a avant-garde, architectural sensibility, utilizing layering, sharp tailoring, and unexpected accessories like leather gloves and pinstriped trousers to build complex visual textures. Rudy Martins complements this rigor with slicked-back, intentional hair styling that echoes the project's disciplined, minimalist approach. By balancing bold, saturated hues with stark, monochromatic frames, COLORS successfully navigates the tension between commercial polish and creative experimentation. It is a refined study in portraiture that highlights how intentional movement, or even a static pose, can elevate traditional menswear into a medium for sculptural storytelling, proving that when the background is silent, every detail of the wardrobe speaks volumes.
