Wedding Dresses Always End Up Single, a fashion editorial for Study Magazine, is an intimate exploration of garment construction and textile volume. Captured by photographer Senta Simond, the series employs a monochrome palette and analogue film aesthetics to document sculptural bridal fabrics, including layers of tulle, pleated silk, and intricate embroidery. The project balances sharp, high-contrast chiaroscuro portraits with raw, documentary-style snapshots of studio fittings. Throughout the layout, minimalist typography serves as a narrative anchor, pairing poetic verse and garment descriptions with stark, white-walled interiors. By blending soft, diffused ambient light with the tactile nature of draped textiles, the imagery emphasizes the silhouette and form of the subjects. The project features model Axelle Doue, with casting by Julia Lange and grooming by hair stylist Joe Burwin and makeup artist Celine Martin.
