WSJ Strong Suit 2026

About

Strong Suit is a menswear editorial series produced for WSJ, exploring contemporary tailoring through a series of urban vignettes. Photographer Takashi Homma captures the collection across various transit and street environments, leaning into a consistent cool-toned palette and cinematic atmosphere to frame the garments. The series features styling by Jason Rider, who balances structured silhouettes with relaxed, layered pieces. With makeup by Takenaka, the imagery prioritizes natural light and clean compositions. The project utilizes a moody, desaturated aesthetic to emphasize texture and architectural backdrop, highlighting the versatility of modern suits in everyday city life.
