A Room With a View

Mar 2026
In A Room With a View, SSAW Magazine delivers a masterclass in editorial minimalism, stripping back the noise of modern fashion photography to focus entirely on texture, form, and quiet intensity. Captured by photographer Kito Muñoz, this fashion project leans into an architectural aesthetic where the interplay of light and shadow defines the subjects as much as the garments themselves. Through a series of stark, high-key lighting setups and controlled studio strobe environments, the editorial highlights a monochromatic palette of black leather, tailored wool, and velvet. Fashion editor and stylist Andrej Skok curates an ensemble of sharp silhouettes and structured layering, perfectly complemented by the precise grooming of hair stylist Michał Bielecki and the subtle, refined beauty work of makeup artist Karin Westerlund. The imagery often channels a sense of sophisticated, quiet tension, utilizing models like Adeng Marial, Laura Rudd, and Yuliana Perez to ground the high-fashion concept in human presence. With set design by Jeanne Briand providing the clean, geometric foundation for these compositions, the project feels like a deliberate exercise in negative space. By prioritizing clean lines and precise posing, A Room With a View establishes a modern, refined elegance that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary, solidifying its place as a standout work of high-end editorial portraiture within the luxury fashion space.
