Description

The Song for The Mute 003 x Adidas collaboration explores a tactical approach to contemporary sportswear, blending high-concept fashion with an industrial, street-level aesthetic. The collection prioritizes texture and silhouette, featuring intricate knitwear, graphic spray-effect motifs, and technical sneaker designs that emphasize co-branded details and layered construction. Captured through a documentary lens, the campaign employs a raw, analogue / film sensibility. The imagery leans into a gritty, urban atmosphere, utilizing natural light and desaturated grading to highlight the tactile qualities of the apparel and footwear. Photographer Atsushi ‘Jima’ Nishijima leads the visual direction, with fashion styling by Stephen Mann, hair by Erol Karadag, and make-up by Naoko Kitano. The project includes additional contributions from videographer James Cook and producer Hattie Gable.
