Self Service
Move on

Mar 2026
The Move on editorial campaign for Self Service effortlessly navigates the intersection of luxury fashion houses and contemporary portraiture, delivering a visual masterclass in minimalist design and high-fashion aesthetics. Through the lens of photographer Johnny Dufort, the project transcends traditional fashion photography by emphasizing the sculptural interplay between silhouette and texture. Stylist Suzanne Koller masterfully curates a selection of garments—from stiff-structured, voluminous beige coats to flowing black satin—that demand attention, while the presence of models Caitlin Soetendal and Signe Michaelsson brings a dynamic, living energy to each frame. The integration of motion blur alongside static studio strobe compositions creates a rhythmic, cinematic flow that defines the series. Hair stylist Olivier Schawalder highlights this sense of movement with voluminous, windswept waves, perfectly complemented by the soft, natural beauty aesthetic polished by makeup artist Thom Walker. By utilizing varied lighting techniques, ranging from direct natural light to precision studio strobe work, the team achieves a sophisticated balance of depth and clarity. The resulting imagery reads as a refined exploration of modern tailoring, anchored by a saturated, monochromatic palette that serves to heighten the tactile details of the clothing. This collaboration stands as a definitive statement on contemporary style, proving that even within a minimalist framework, the expressive power of luxury apparel remains unparalleled in its ability to command the viewer's gaze.
