Speaking Volumes is a fashion editorial series for SCMP Style, exploring the intersection of sculptural silhouettes and intricate textile design. The project leans into a clean, minimalist aesthetic, utilizing monochromatic and desaturated palettes to emphasize the tactile qualities of the featured garments. Photographer Pablo Freda captures the collection against neutral studio backdrops, employing natural light and directional studio setups to highlight fabric textures, from feathered detailing to crystalline embellishments. Creative direction by Craig Hemming frames these looks with a focus on form, supported by fashion styling from Joanne M Kennedy. The series incorporates editorial techniques such as monochrome photography and analogue film aesthetics to maintain a refined visual narrative.
