About

Hands Up! is a fashion editorial feature for SCMP Style Magazine, exploring the intersection of luxury horology and industrial narrative. The project centres on a series of cinematic compositions that pair high-end wristwatches with austere, vault-inspired settings and forensic-leaning details, utilising chiaroscuro lighting to draw out tactile contrasts between polished metallic finishes, suiting textiles, and leather goods. Photographed by Freddy Persson, the series leans into a moody, atmospheric aesthetic. The production credits are led by fashion editor and stylist Joanne M Kennedy, who curated the formal tailoring and accessories, supported by set designer Carlota Cabrera, who provided the intricate metallic structures. Models Felix Cheong-Macleod and Lydia Reid anchor the editorial, with beauty looks by hair stylist Masashi Konno and makeup artist Mari Kuno defining the project's precise, high-contrast visual language.
