Crosstown Chic is a high-energy fashion editorial for SCMP Style, capturing the intersection of luxury design and urban grit. Shot by photographer David Roemer and styled by Aryeh Lappin, the series features model Samile Bermannelli navigating metropolitan environments, from bustling city streets to industrial vehicle settings. The visuals lean into editorial storytelling through dynamic movement and street-level textures. The project utilizes a mix of techniques to convey motion and atmosphere, ranging from long exposure and motion blur to sharp monochrome, analogue/film aesthetics. With hair styling by Gianluca Mandelli and makeup by Deanna Hagan, the look complements the raw backdrop of city storefronts and architecture. Casting was directed by Shawn Dezan, bringing a focused, candid sensibility to this visual exploration of contemporary style in motion.
