Crosstown Chic is a fashion editorial series for SCMP Style, centered on the fast-paced energy of urban life. Captured by photographer David Roemer, the project features model Samile Bermannelli navigating metropolitan streets with a sense of fluid movement and grit. The visual narrative relies heavily on editorial techniques, incorporating both monochromatic compositions and long exposure motion blur to ground the high-fashion styling within the city's raw texture. The series features styling by Aryeh Lappin, who pairs structured tailoring and eclectic, multi-textured garments against the background of storefronts and traffic. Technical execution throughout the shoot balances natural light with high-contrast flash and analogue film aesthetics. Hair styling by Gianluca Mandelli and makeup by Deanna Hagan emphasize a candid, street-focused look, supported by casting from Shawn Dezan.
