Split in Two is a series for Schön Magazine that explores intimate, character-driven narratives through an editorial lens. Photographed and directed by Lavina Solomonova, the project utilises a moody, warm palette and cinematic framing to document its subjects within domestic and leisure settings. The work incorporates a mix of analogue film aesthetics and low-key chiaroscuro lighting, creating a textured, observant atmosphere throughout the collection. The series features models Khorey Mcdonald and Torey Mcdonald, whose presence is anchored by art direction and fashion styling from Iryna Li. By leaning into documentary-style compositions and shallow depth of field, the project highlights the interplay between the subjects and their ornate, wood-paneled environments.
