HARD NEWS is a fashion editorial series for Revista 192 that channels the aesthetic of a roving broadcast news team. Photographed by Izack Morales, the project captures model Adau Aguer in a variety of high-contrast, all-black ensembles that lean into sharp tailoring, lace textures, and sleek satin silhouettes. Stylist Kingsley Osuji anchors the editorial with an urban wardrobe, utilizing pieces like structured tweed jackets, pleated maxi skirts, and statement gold jewelry to contrast against a backdrop of classical limestone architecture. The execution relies on a raw, documentary-style approach, utilizing analogue film techniques and natural light to document the characters in an urban street setting. With casting by Eleonor Delecluse and makeup by Michael Chua, the project incorporates retro broadcast equipment as key props, juxtaposing the polished fashion styling with the functional aesthetic of vintage shoulder-mounted video cameras and reporter microphones.
