Mother, You Sent Me to Piano Lessons for Re-Edition Magazine is a fashion editorial series that interrogates contemporary silhouettes through a minimalist and observational lens. Photographer Ola Rindal captures a study of form and texture, oscillating between stark, neutral studio environments and candid street scenes. Fashion editor and stylist Marie Chaix centers the narrative on sharp tailoring, monochromatic palettes, and intricate structural details like ribbon lacings and architectural cut-outs. The work channels a clean, disciplined aesthetic, reinforced by soft, natural light and a restrained approach to hair and makeup by Akemi Kishida and Satoko Watanabe. Casting for the series was coordinated by Helena Balladino.
