Diana Loves Weights is an editorial photography series that channels a vibrant 1980s fitness aesthetic through a contemporary lens. The project leans into a retro-glam visual language, highlighting muscular physiques with metallic leotards and voluminous, teased hairstyles. Captured by photographer Anthony Arquier with hair styling by Sadek Lardjane, the work oscillates between polished studio portraits and candid, behind-the-scenes moments. The execution makes extensive use of direct flash and high-contrast monochrome treatments to define form, while the inclusion of domestic props like ironing boards and leaf blowers creates a distinct, playful artifice. These techniques, paired with sharp editorial sensibilities, ground the series in a stylized, high-energy environment.
