Period problems is a fashion editorial series for More or Less Magazine, exploring a series of theatrical, historical-inspired character studies. Photographed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch, the project contrasts avant-garde, period-accurate garments with modern industrial and everyday urban settings, captured with a clean, natural light aesthetic. Creative direction by Jaime Perlman brings a cohesive visual language to the project, bridging the gap between surreal historical personas and contemporary environments. The imagery frequently employs an analogue film technique to ground the theatrical subjects, which range from figures in full medieval plate armor to elaborate 18th-century court dress. Fashion styling by Charlotte Collet is supported by hair styling from Alex Brownsell and makeup by Daniel Sallstrom, whose work anchors the dramatic styling. The production features set design by Andrew Tomlinson, casting by Piergiorgio Del Moro, manicures by Pebbles Aikens, and performance by model Jacqui Hooper.
