Henri Ping's VIGEÉ

Jul 2026
In the latest series for Office Magazine, photographer Iga Drobisz masterfully explores the intersection of high fashion and raw, human vulnerability with Henri Ping's VIGEÉ. This editorial feature leans into a moody, minimalist aesthetic, where the power of the portrait is amplified by a deliberate, cinematic approach to composition. Working alongside fashion editor and stylist Billy Lobos, Drobisz orchestrates a series of portraits that function as studies in texture and contrast. From sculptural feather headpieces to graphic, hand-drawn leather blindfolds, each look is meticulously crafted by makeup artist Alice Dodds to challenge traditional beauty standards through a sharp, avant-garde lens. The project captures an evocative, analogue quality, utilizing the constraints of the Polaroid format to lend every frame a tactile, intimate feeling. Drobisz makes excellent use of natural light and soft light to accentuate the organic contours of her subjects against muted, charcoal-grey backdrops, while the crisp, low-key lighting choices elevate the editorial minimalism at play. With retouching by Viktoriia Gasanova, the imagery retains a candid, film-based rawness that feels both timeless and distinctly contemporary. VIGEÉ acts as a poignant example of how refined creative direction can transform static portraiture into a rhythmic, visual narrative, proving that sometimes the most striking statements are those delivered with quiet, deliberate precision.
