ODDA Magazine
1896, and The Rest is History

Apr 2026
In 1896, and The Rest is History, ODDA Magazine delivers a compelling visual narrative that navigates the intersection of luxury fashion houses and the gritty, unfiltered reality of urban life. This high-concept editorial campaign masterfully leans into a tension between high-end aspiration and the mundane landscape, placing iconic designer monogram handbags against the backdrop of industrial roller shutters, utility poles, and utilitarian streetscapes. Through the lens of deliberate lifestyle and editorial photography, the project challenges the traditional boundaries of high fashion imagery. The execution relies heavily on natural light to draw out the intricate textures of both the meticulously styled garments and the weathered, architectural environments. The project channels a documentary sensibility, as seen in the deliberate framing of city streets and storefronts, creating a juxtaposition that elevates the accessories as the primary focal point of each composition. Model Carliane Paixao anchors the series with a composed, neutral presence, while the styling by Tsuki ensures the subjects remain polished despite the unpolished surroundings. By blending the aspirational with the authentic, the series captures a modern aesthetic that feels both raw and refined. This work exemplifies how luxury branding can be recontextualized through a street-level perspective, favoring natural light and environmental storytelling to bridge the gap between elite style and the everyday world.
