BLURRED IDENTITIES for Numéro Berlin is a fashion editorial series that explores the interplay of light, form, and anonymity. Photographer Jumbo Tsui captures a sequence of minimalist and high-key compositions that lean into chiaroscuro and surreal aesthetics to obscure the human subject. By utilizing intense overexposure and dramatic silhouettes, the project abstracts the physical body, casting models within architectural settings and controlled studio environments. Fashion editor Sina Braetz complements these visual motifs through the selection of textured, sculptural garments—ranging from translucent tulle and metallic fringe to structured couture. The series is bolstered by hair styling from Werner Amort and makeup by Hicham Ababsa, maintaining a consistent, refined visual language across both monochrome and desaturated palettes.
