Novembre Magazine
Fran by Elizaveta and Samia

May 2026
In this evocative series for Novembre Magazine, photographer Elizaveta Porodina and fashion editor Samia Giobellina collaborate to redefine the boundaries of high-fashion editorial imagery. Featuring model Fran Summers, the project leans into a surreal, cinematic aesthetic, meticulously layering textures and light to construct a dreamlike narrative. The visual language is defined by a mastery of low-key and chiaroscuro lighting techniques, which heighten the contrast between delicate lace, mohair knits, and shimmering, metallic embellishments. Each frame functions as a study in poise and artifice, enhanced by the experimental beauty direction of Valentina Li and the intricate, structural hair styling of Pierre Saint Sever. The collaboration with set designer Alice Kirkpatrick manifests in a series of disorienting, kaleidoscopic environments where mirrors, cascading crystal beads, and shimmering tinsel transform the studio space into an ethereal stage. Whether capturing the grit of monochrome film or the vivid, saturated palette of a studio strobe setup, the work avoids static portraiture in favor of dynamic, performative movement. From the tactile richness of the reflective, sequined surfaces to the precision of the manicured details provided by Eri Narita, every element serves the central concept of polished, conceptual luxury. The result is a profoundly stylish collection that captures the essence of contemporary fashion, balancing raw, atmospheric intensity with the refined, dreamlike artifice characteristic of the world’s most compelling luxury fashion houses.
