Messika
Fall 2024 Ad Campaign

Sep 2024
The Messika Fall 2024 ad campaign masterfully leans into the codes of high-end jewellery through an exercise in editorial minimalism. Across this series of portraits, photographer Julien Vallon captures a refined tension between the human form and the intricate, metallic textures of the brand’s latest collections. By utilizing precise studio strobe lighting against seamless white and neutral grey backdrops, the project achieves a crisp, high-key clarity that places the focus squarely on the craftsmanship of the diamond-encrusted pieces. Creative director Valérie Messika orchestrates an aesthetic that feels both contemporary and timeless, relying on the poise of models Taylor Hill and Soo Joo Park to anchor the visuals. The styling choices—characterized by slicked-back, wet-look hair and asymmetrical, form-fitting black garments—strip away unnecessary distraction, allowing the gold chain-links, delicate bangles, and stacked rings to serve as the narrative’s primary subjects. These images leverage varied perspectives, ranging from birds-eye angles to intimate close-ups, to reveal the versatility of the accessories. Ultimately, the campaign functions as a cohesive study in luxury, where the deliberate lack of background noise serves to elevate the jewellery, reinforcing Messika’s signature blend of bold modernity and delicate, artisanal detail within the competitive landscape of the global fashion industry.
