MAX ZARA STERCK human

Jan 2026
In the latest campaign for Max Zara Sterck, titled MAX ZARA STERCK human, the brand masterfully bridges the gap between high-end luxury fashion and the precision of fine art. Photographer Amanda Elise K captures a striking dialogue between the human form and geometric abstraction, drawing heavy inspiration from the classical proportions of the Vitruvian Man. Through the lens of editorial portraiture, the collection of imagery frames the minimalist black bodysuit—with its signature asymmetrical chest cutouts and teardrop details—against clean, off-white studio backdrops that force the viewer to focus entirely on the architectural lines of the garment. The work relies heavily on the clean, deliberate studio strobe lighting to emphasize the graphic interaction between the model's dynamic, expressive poses and the overlaid circular and square motifs. Stylist Constant de Boer elevates the aesthetic with deliberate choices, such as the sculptural updos and transparent high-heeled sandals, which reinforce the contemporary, streamlined silhouette. Casting director Michiel van Maaren ensures the talent brings an energetic, almost kinetic presence that prevents the structured, conceptual imagery from feeling static. By stripping away excess, the project succeeds as a minimalist study of movement and anatomy, demonstrating how luxury fashion houses can leverage fine art sensibilities to create a sophisticated, high-concept narrative that resonates deeply within the modern fashion landscape.
