Touch of JIANGHU is a sprawling fashion editorial produced for Marie Claire China that channels the rugged aesthetic of traditional Chinese narrative landscapes. Photographed by Mario Wang, the series leans into a cinematic blend of high-fashion structure and raw, organic settings. Featuring models Jinrong Huang and Sijia Kang, the imagery transitions between high-contrast monochrome portraits and wide, atmospheric landscapes. The production emphasizes textural contrast—pairing ornate feathered tops, sculptural capes, and pleated fabrics against mossy rock faces, rushing waterfalls, and weathered timber structures. With a focus on earthy, desaturated tones and natural light, the project adopts a grainy, analogue film aesthetic to capture a serene, journey-focused narrative.
