Touch of JIANGHU is a sprawling fashion editorial for Marie Claire China that traverses the intersection of contemporary high-fashion and traditional aesthetic narratives. Photographed by Mario Wang, the series leans into a cinematic exploration of rural landscapes, placing high-end, sculptural garments against the backdrop of mossy cliff faces, flowing waterfalls, and weathered wooden architecture. Featuring models Jinrong Huang and Sijia Kang, the production utilizes an earthy, tactile color palette to ground its subjects within the environment. Through a blend of monochrome portraiture and expansive natural-light captures, the project emphasises textural contrast, pairing feathered and pleated layers with the raw surfaces of stone and dense foliage. The result is an atmospheric visual journey that channels heritage-inspired motifs through a modern editorial lens.
