Marie Claire China's 'Characters by Lina' is a comprehensive fashion editorial series centered on model Lina Zhang, captured through the lens of photographer Zhong Lin. The project explores a wide range of visual narratives, moving between minimalist studio portraiture and highly stylized location shoots that leverage natural light to accentuate architectural forms. Throughout the series, fashion editor and stylist Austin Feng employs avant-garde silhouettes and textured layering, often paired with graphic accessories to create a sense of theatrical movement. The production integrates hair styling by MingHu Zhang and makeup artistry by Yooyo Keong Ming, which shift from polished, clean aesthetics to dramatic, retro-inspired beauty looks that ground the editorial's conceptual range.
