Manifesto Magazine’s January/February 2025 covers for issue #106 present a series of editorial portraits featuring actor Serena Motola and models Mikiya Nakano and Caren Jepkemei. The imagery utilizes a blend of warm, retro-inspired domestic interiors and clean studio backdrops to showcase seasonal fashion and accessories. Techniques across the series lean into the aesthetic of analogue film and natural light, emphasizing detailed garment textures and graphic typography layouts. The project was overseen by fashion director and editor Jonathan Yee, with fashion editors Midori and Thea Lewis-Yates leading the styling. Photographers Tak Sugita and Jonathan Arundel provided the varied lens perspectives, supported by a creative team including hair stylist Tomi Roppongi, makeup artist Anna Payne, and casting directors Marina Fairfax and Shimana.
