Maison Margiela
THE 12 DAYS OF MARGIELA

Feb 2026
Maison Margiela once again proves its mastery of deconstruction and architectural rigor with The 12 Days of Margiela, a compelling fashion campaign that strips away the noise to focus on the raw essence of luxury tailoring. Photographed by the sharp creative duo Melanie and Ramon, the series operates within the refined language of editorial minimalism, placing the focus squarely on the relationship between textile and form. Through a sequence of portraits featuring model Baba Diagne, the project explores the interplay of high-contrast lighting and soft, ethereal lens flares, creating a visual tension between sharp, structured blazers and the fluid, dreamlike atmosphere of the compositions. The use of cinematic, studio strobe techniques elevates the garments, allowing the architectural lines of avant-garde eyewear and the textured precision of ribbed knitwear to command the viewer’s attention. By leveraging a neutral, monochromatic palette, the imagery leans into a sophisticated, timeless aesthetic that underscores the house's avant-garde heritage while maintaining a clean, commercial polish. The decision to oscillate between crisp, defined portraits and movement-infused, split-frame captures lends a rhythmic, evocative quality to the collection. This series is not merely a showcase of menswear but a tactile investigation into the silhouette, where every pleat, drawstring, and zipper becomes a deliberate, artistic statement within the enduring narrative of the Maison Margiela brand.
