Description

Peaux D’âmes, a fashion editorial for M Le magazine du Monde, synthesizes urban documentary and studio portraiture to explore the interplay between architectural tailoring and tactile materials. Creative direction by Jean-Baptiste Talbourdet-Napoleone frames the collection through a lens of graphic definition, moving between controlled, minimalist studio backdrops and gritty, candid street settings. Photographer Joséphine Løchen captures these shifts with a focus on high-contrast textures—from glossy patent leather and rich fur to matte suede and crisp cotton poplin. Fashion editor and stylist Alexandra Carl curates a layered approach to modern dressing, pairing oversized blazers and structured trench coats with intricate accessories such as gold chain-strap bags and Western-style belts. The aesthetic leans into a versatile editorial tone, alternating between monochrome compositions and vivid color-blocking. The production features models Athiec Geng, Dana Smith, and Sarah Isaksen, with hair by Joseph Pujalte, makeup by Satoko Watanabe, and manicures by Hanae Goumri.
