Captured in the sun-drenched hillsides of Italy, Ostuni is a fashion editorial series produced for L'Officiel Singapore. Photographer Tak Sugita uses analogue film techniques to document model Alice Amankwah amidst the minimalist white architecture and rugged Mediterranean landscape, creating a cohesive visual narrative defined by warm, earthy tones and high-contrast natural light. Fashion editor and stylist Maria Teresa Strippoli anchors the editorial through a series of striking, texture-forward ensembles. From structured plaid suiting to voluminous faux fur and vibrant monochromatic layers, the styling interacts with the surroundings to elevate the organic, sculptural quality of the imagery. The project leans into a nostalgic aesthetic, utilising soft shadows and vast negative space to frame the subject against the distinctive local topography.
