Description

Hot Mess is an editorial fashion feature produced for Financial Times HTSI Magazine, captured by photographer David Abrahams. The series juxtaposes high-end, tactile garments with a raw, distressed studio environment, utilising scattered debris, paint splatters, and vintage wooden furniture to ground the vivid color palettes. Featuring model Caren Jepkemei, the editorial employs layered textures—ranging from faux-fur and frayed tweed to intricate knitwear—against neutral studio backdrops. The project is defined by a clean, deliberate aesthetic, relying on natural light and an analogue film quality to emphasize the structural silhouettes of the collection. Styling is by Benjamin Canares, with hair by Michael Harding, makeup by Claire Urquhart, and manicures by Chisato Yamamoto. Casting was managed by Helena Balladino and Piergiorgio Del Moro.
