Walked on Water / Run through Fire is a fashion editorial series for Heroine Magazine that balances raw, observational storytelling with a deliberate, cinematic atmosphere. Photographed by Jade Mainade, the project leans into a candid aesthetic, utilizing natural light and high-grain analogue film techniques to frame a diverse array of settings, from expansive rural fields and coastal horizons to stark urban textures. With casting by Cheyma Hadji, the project features model Hunter Pifer as a central figure throughout. The imagery shifts between energetic motion and moments of quiet stillness, emphasizing the fluid movement of garments against varied, often desaturated backdrops. By focusing on textural interplay—such as knitwear against asphalt or lace against chain-link fencing—the photography maintains a cohesive, stripped-back visual language.
