Misplace is a conceptual fashion editorial series produced for Heroine Magazine, featuring an expansive study of accessories as sculptural objects. Photographer Cameron Bensley and fashion stylist Peghah Maleknejad collaborate to recontextualise high-end footwear, jewelry, and bags against tactile backdrops and found domestic items. The series employs a minimalist, clean aesthetic to elevate everyday objects and luxury pieces alike. By pairing leather goods and metal hardware with contrasting textures—such as velvet, fruit, and ceramic figurines—the project leans into a surrealist, still life approach. The work relies on soft, directional lighting to highlight the material qualities of the accessories within a polished editorial framework.
