Baggage! is an editorial fashion series commissioned for Heroine Magazine, featuring a rigorous study of luxury handbags through a modern lens. The project captures an expansive collection of accessories, ranging from structured leather and quilted suede to intricate woven fabrics, set against a rotating series of environments that challenge traditional still-life conventions. Photographer Fabien Kruszelnicki and fashion editor Peghah Maleknejad collaborate to elevate these objects through careful material interplay. The series moves between controlled, minimalist studio lighting and textural natural light, placing refined luxury goods against raw architectural surfaces like fluted concrete, moss-flecked stone, and industrial infrastructure. By prioritizing tactile qualities and bold color contrasts, the work emphasizes the craftsmanship of the hardware and fabrications within a contemporary, editorial framework.
