Harper's Bazaar U.S.: Warm Front

Warm Front is a fashion editorial feature for Harper's Bazaar U.S. that explores the intersection of volume and texture. Captured by photographer Sonia Szóstak under the creative direction of Laura Genninger, the series focuses on the architectural qualities of oversized knitwear, technical outerwear, and layered silhouettes. The project leans into a desaturated, monochromatic color palette, utilizing moody chiaroscuro lighting and raw, grainy textures to ground the high-fashion styling in an intimate, tactile atmosphere. The series alternates between stark, neutral studio environments and urban, cinematic outdoor settings. Fashion editor and stylist Beat Bolliger emphasizes sculptural forms and deliberate draping throughout the work, while dynamic movement—both in the model's poses and the wind-swept hair—adds a kinetic energy to the compositions. The editorial features model Apolline Rocco Fohrer with hair styling by Tamara McNaughton, makeup by Stephanie Kunz, manicures by Mayumi Abuku, and casting by Anita Bitton, under the guidance of Editor-in-Chief Samira Nasr.
