Description

Warm Front is a fashion editorial feature for Harper's Bazaar U.S. that explores the intersection of sculptural tailoring and heavy, tactile knitwear. The project centers on a series of portraits and dynamic, motion-driven shots featuring model Apolline Rocco Fohrer, highlighting the voluminous, layered silhouettes of the season’s outerwear. Captured by photographer Sonia Szóstak, the imagery utilizes low-key lighting and desaturated palettes to emphasize the intricate textures of wool, tweed, and technical fabrics against both neutral studio backdrops and urban, architectural settings. Creative direction by Laura Genninger and styling by Beat Bolliger anchor the project, leaning into a monochromatic aesthetic that balances raw, gritty compositions with refined editorial structure. The shoot showcases the interplay between shadow and form through high-contrast chiaroscuro techniques, with hair styling by Tamara McNaughton and makeup by Stephanie Kunz providing a polished finish to the series. Casting was overseen by Anita Bitton, with additional details by manicurist Mayumi Abuku and support from Editor-in-Chief Samira Nasr.
