Description

Pisma Iz India is a fashion editorial series for Harper’s Bazaar Serbia, capturing a dialogue between contemporary tailoring and rich, historical environments. The project leverages natural light to frame its subjects against ornate architectural motifs, weathered terracotta walls, and traditional Indian marketplaces. Photographer Amer Mohamad and fashion editor Marko Mrkaja lean into a tactile, layered aesthetic throughout the series. The imagery combines graphic silhouettes and minimalist couture with intricate ethnic jewelry and diverse textile patterns, utilising an earthy, warm color palette to anchor the editorial’s visual narrative. The project incorporates various techniques including analogue film textures, clean, minimalist compositions, and maximalist street-level staging. The resulting editorial spreads offer a study in contrast, balancing structured, modern apparel with the historic atmosphere of the setting.
