Harper's Bazaar France September 202 ...

Sep 2026
For the September issue of Harper's Bazaar France, the publication delivers a masterclass in editorial sophistication, centering on an iconic portrait series featuring international superstar Céline Dion. Under the collaborative creative direction of Franck Durand and Laura Genninger, the project transcends the traditional magazine cover, leaning into a high-fashion aesthetic that emphasizes architectural silhouettes and dramatic texture. Photographer Robin Galiegue masterfully maneuvers between varied environments, capturing Dion against the blurred, twilight cityscape of a rooftop and within the intimate, high-contrast confines of a luxury vehicle. Each frame utilizes natural light to ground the celebrity talent in a refined narrative, while also employing soft, focused studio lighting to highlight the sculptural, metallic complexity of the couture gowns chosen by fashion editor Malina Joseph Gilchrist. The result is a cinematic visual journey that balances the grit of an urban backdrop with the polished precision of classic editorial minimalism. With the seamless integration of hair styling by Shay Ashual and makeup by Lauren Parsons, the imagery maintains a cohesive, otherworldly elegance. Art directors Anaïs Mesmacque and Lise de Martino ensure the typography integrates harmoniously with the vertical compositions, solidifying this feature as a standout moment in modern media and entertainment. This project successfully redefines the magazine cover as a canvas for high-concept storytelling, showcasing a perfect marriage of high-fashion sensibility and raw, magnetic presence.
