Harper's Bazaar Australia presents Zinnia Kumar Beyond The Superficial, a multi-faceted fashion editorial feature. Photographed by Daphne Nguyen, the project traverses a variety of settings, from moody interiors and domestic spaces to stark, industrial outdoor environments, to construct a narrative around its subject. Ewan Bell’s fashion styling moves between sharp, tailored silhouettes and heavy, tactile textures, captured through both clean, high-contrast digital imagery and atmospheric monochrome analogue film. The editorial leans into a cinematic, low-key aesthetic, often utilising dramatic chiaroscuro and motion blur to emphasise form and introspection. Production for the series was managed by Sofia Sallons, coordinating a visual language that balances quiet, intimate moments with dynamic, movement-heavy portraits.
