Captured for Harper's Bazaar Arabia, THE WANDERER is a sprawling fashion editorial that traverses the intersection of traditional architecture and nomadic aesthetics. Photographer Élio Nogueira and fashion editor Loizos Sofokleous document model Tilila Oulhaj as she navigates both vast desert landscapes and the dense, vibrant pathways of historic market alleys. The series leans into a cinematic, tactile visual language, frequently utilising natural light and golden hour warmth to heighten the contrast between elaborate haute couture and the raw, earthy textures of the setting. The project maintains a consistent atmospheric tension between stillness and motion. Oulhaj is framed against intricate terracotta archways and layered, hand-woven textiles, with the styling evolving from billowing, ruffled gowns to structured, shimmering metallic ensembles. Throughout the narrative, the imagery captures subtle candid details—such as the motion of a vintage moped or the blur of a busy marketplace—to ground the high-fashion editorial in a documentary-style sensibility.
