HAUTE PURSUIT for Harper's Bazaar Arabia is a sprawling fashion editorial that creates a visual tension between high-end couture and everyday urban environments. Photographer Luis Monteiro and stylist Steven Doan place models in a wide range of settings, from the ornate stone architecture of Parisian streets to the industrial backdrop of a delivery truck, a transit station, and even the aisles of a local supermarket. The series leans into a polished, editorial aesthetic, relying primarily on natural light to highlight the intricate textures, beadwork, and structural silhouettes of the garments. The styling by Doan contrasts voluminous, ruffled gowns and metallic trains against mundane, gritty textures like corrugated metal, cobblestones, and subway tiling, offering a deliberate juxtaposition of elevated design and the pedestrian world.
