HAUTE PURSUIT for Harper's Bazaar Arabia is a wide-ranging fashion editorial project that places sculptural haute couture against the backdrop of both historic Parisian architecture and gritty urban transit environments. The series creates a dialogue between high-end garment design and ordinary, everyday settings, moving from cobblestone streetscapes and classic stone facades to supermarket aisles and subway stations. Photographer Luis Monteiro and fashion stylist Steven Doan utilize a mix of natural daylight and controlled flash to capture the intricate textures of the featured gowns. The work relies on structured, symmetric compositions and clean framing to highlight the contrast between voluminous ruffles, beaded fringe, and metallic satins against industrial concrete and metal surfaces.
