Harper's Bazaar Arabia presents A New Direction, an avant-garde fashion editorial series centered on high-concept couture and sculptural silhouettes. Shot in a minimalist studio environment, the project highlights the interplay between architectural garment construction and theatrical beauty choices. Photographer Amer Mohamad employs clean, soft lighting to emphasize the intricate textures of structured gowns and embellished headpieces. Fashion editor and stylist Nour Bou ezz directs the eclectic, highly-stylized wardrobe, while makeup artist Emily Clayton complements the aesthetic through experimental beauty looks, including distinctive facial art and monochromatic palettes. This series utilizes a clean editorial aesthetic to document a diverse range of avant-garde volumes and silhouettes.
