For HardCOPY Magazine, photographer and creative director Nick Thompson presents 'Lara,' a compelling fashion editorial that investigates the relationship between the human form and liquid environments. Centering on model Lara Mullen, the series utilizes glass vitrines and water tanks to introduce layers of refraction, distortion, and tactile abstraction into the frame. Working alongside fashion editor Jordan Kelsey, the team explores a palette of vibrant saturated tones set against high-key, minimal studio environments. The execution employs varied techniques, ranging from clean, beauty-focused lighting to moody, analogue-inspired textural effects, emphasizing the interplay between wet surfaces, metallic accents, and latex apparel.
