Description

LUCIFERO, a striking fashion editorial for Grey Magazine, captures the intersection of rugged wilderness and high-end tailoring. Through the lens of photographer Andrea Reina, the project navigates an aesthetic of editorial minimalism that leans into a cinematic, moody atmosphere. Set against the harsh, craggy landscapes of lakeside cliffs and weathered docks, the narrative features model Federico Battisti, whose contemplative presence anchors the complex, layered styling. The visual language oscillates between raw natural light and dramatic, saturated color grades, utilizing high-contrast techniques to highlight the tactile qualities of the garments, from intricate leather embroidery to vibrant lace and botanical prints. By placing meticulously tailored suits and artisanal knitwear into these primitive, stone-heavy environments, the series creates a deliberate tension between the polished and the primordial. The work avoids standard commercial tropes, instead opting for a portrait-focused exploration of silhouette and texture. With direction from editor-in-chief Valentina Ilardi and editor Mila Forte, the imagery functions as a masterclass in visual storytelling, where each composition emphasizes the interplay between the human form and the indifferent, imposing beauty of the natural world. These frames, characterized by cinematic lighting and low-key chiaroscuro, define a distinct visual identity for the brand that feels both timeless and grounded in contemporary luxury fashion sensibilities.
