BELLE DE JOUR is a fashion editorial series for Grey Magazine Italy that explores mood and atmosphere through a cinematic lens. Captured and art directed by Peppe Tortora with editorial oversight from Valentina Ilardi, the project leans into an analogue film aesthetic to bridge intimate, low-key portraiture with expansive, street-level compositions. The series utilises a distinct palette of warm amber tones and desaturated, cool hues to ground its subjects. Through the use of natural light and grainy textures, the work maintains a nostalgic, retro quality that emphasises both the layered textile choices and the architectural environments of the shoot.
