Grazia Malaysia’s Fil Rouge project is a series of editorial fashion images that explore visual tension through a recurring diptych format. Each frame juxtaposes monochrome portraiture of model Xinjun Yang with macro still-life photography, anchoring the series in a stark color palette of black, white, and vibrant red. The project, captured by photographer Alberto Alaggio, relies on clean, directional studio lighting to emphasize texture and form. Fashion editor and stylist Mirko De Propris curates a minimalist aesthetic that bridges apparel and object, while hair stylist Loris Rocchi and makeup artist Eleonora Juglair maintain a refined, high-contrast look throughout the editorial. The work utilizes chiaroscuro techniques and minimalist framing to highlight the relationship between human subjects and graphic, sculptural elements.
