Right Now, Right Shirt is a fashion editorial feature for GQ China, documenting a series of sharp, contemporary menswear looks. The project explores the intersection of classic tailoring and modern architectural minimalism, utilizing a mix of studio and location settings to frame the collection. Photographer Shenyun Ren and stylist Jiacheng Wu collaborate to create a narrative defined by crisp silhouettes and textural depth. The imagery leans into moody, high-contrast aesthetics and tactile details—such as extended cuffs, layered wools, and shimmering silks—while employing diverse lighting techniques ranging from direct flash to soft, warm natural light. Many compositions incorporate grainy analogue film textures and geometric urban environments, creating a cohesive visual study of form and style.
