Right Now, Right Shirt is a menswear fashion editorial for GQ China, documenting a series of clean, sharp tailoring looks. Photographed by Shenyun Ren and styled by Jiacheng Wu, the feature focuses on the versatility of the classic dress shirt as a foundational piece in modern, oversized suiting. The project leans into minimalist architecture and reflective urban spaces as its primary backdrop, placing model Meng Yu Qi within contemporary, high-rise environments. The execution employs varied lighting techniques, transitioning between high-contrast direct flash and warm, natural ambient light to accentuate the textures of wool, silk, and structured leather. Several portraits incorporate a grainy, analogue film aesthetic that adds a tactile quality to the monochromatic and muted color palettes.
