Google’s "Google Emergency" is a documentary-style campaign exploring maternal health challenges in Nigeria. The project utilizes personal testimony to bring visibility to the critical realities of accessing emergency healthcare, focusing on the difficult nighttime travel faced by expectant mothers.
The visual approach leans into cinematic, low-key lighting, alternating between intimate, warm indoor interviews and atmospheric, desaturated night shots captured from moving vehicles. Developed with the support of Across the Pond and Tinygiant, the film employs live-action techniques to contrast individual narratives with broader global health statistics.
