THE BLESSED BLOOMS OF BROKEN THINGS is an avant-garde editorial feature produced for Glamcult Magazine. The series leans into a dark, sculptural aesthetic, highlighting experimental high fashion through the lens of dramatic low-key chiaroscuro lighting and rich monochrome palettes. Art directed and styled by Amber Aste, the imagery features model Puck Loomans in a collection of structurally complex garments. The work emphasizes tactile materials, including raw distressed fabrics, spiked silhouettes, and organic appliqués, captured across a series of studio settings that utilize glossy reflective surfaces and textured backgrounds to create depth. Techniques such as analogue-inspired film grain and subtle motion blur are employed to ground the editorial, shifting between gritty atmospheric portraits and clean, high-contrast studio compositions.
