About

Modern Love, a fashion editorial for Elle U.S., explores contemporary silhouettes against a backdrop of stark, architectural minimalism. The series channels a clean, sophisticated aesthetic, juxtaposing structured tailoring and plush textures with the geometric lines of modern interior spaces and urban landscapes. Photographer Nick Chard captures the editorial through a mix of crisp, direct flash and diffuse natural light, creating a range of moods from intimate, grainy analogue-style portraits to high-contrast studio compositions. Fashion editor and stylist Elissa Santisi curates a diverse wardrobe, anchoring the visual narrative in layers of leather, faux fur, and tailored essentials. The project features model Betsy Gaghan, with hair styling by Dennis Lanni and manicures by Tracylee. Casting was overseen by Shaun Beyen.
